Rashid in the squad to face Renegades BBL

Rashid Khan is in the Adelaide Strikers’ 13-player squad which will play the Melbourne Renegades in Geelong on Thursday night.

Rashid will remain with the Strikers for the time being following the loss of his father on Sunday.

Experienced seamer Peter Siddle is unavailable for selection due to his commitments with the Australian Test team, along with Strikers captain Travis Head.

Right-arm quick Wes Agar has been included in the only change to the squad.

The Strikers now have a 2-2 record in KFC BBL|08 after they continued their perfect New Year’s Eve streak in a 20-run win against the Sydney Thunder on Monday night.

Thursday’s clash with the Renegades at GMHBA Stadium begins at 7:15 pm local (6:45 pm ACDT).
