Another Bollywood celeb has been diagnosed with cancer and has left everyone in shock. Actor Hrithik Roshan, on Tuesday, took to his social media to reveal that his father and actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage of squamous cell carcinoma, a type of cancer. The actor also revealed that the senior Roshan will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Hrithik shared an Instagram post in which he is seen standing alongside with his father in a gym. He captioned the image speech communication, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him." Hrithik wrote this along with the picture in which the father-son duo have struck the same pose.

The family has a cancer survivor in Sunaina Roshan, Hrithik's sister. She fought cervical cancer and survived it. Apart from his acting career, Rakesh Roshan is known for directing films like "Kishen Kanhaiya", "Karan Arjun", "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai", "Koi... Mil Gaya" and the superhero "Krrish" film series.

The filmmaker has given many super-hits in Bollywood and was now gearing up for the fourth installment of his popular franchise Krishh. The director had promised to up the ante in Krrish 4, with world-class action sequences and VFX. "We can rope in international action director for the film. We want to up the dimensions of action and VFX. Show one thing that's not done," he had told PTI. The buzz also has it that Krishh 4 is supposed to hit the theatres on Christmas 2020. Interestingly, Bollywood beauties Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif are the top contenders for being the leading lady in the film

The moment Hrithik Roshan shared the heart-warming picture with his father and announced the shocking news, fans started pouring in good wishes. A fan commented on the picture, “A very strong personality! Get well soon sir”. Another fan wrote, “Keep up the spirits or sir...we all need u good luck, embark of this instance variable of a victor....our prayers r incessantly wid u and concrete center family.... hope for d best and don’t ever give up.”
