Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola. He thinks that the Spaniard is the world's best manager.



Liverpool and Manchester City are going to lock horns in the English Premier League on 4th January. The city is looking to cut Liverpool’s lead at the top after losing three matches in December. They have managed to get back to form with a 3-1 victory over Southampton away after a miserable run of games. But Liverpool represents a different prospect for Pep Guardiola’s side as they are currently unbeaten in the league and have thrashed Arsenal 5-1 in their last match.

So manager Jurgen Klopp would naturally be pleased with his side after accumulating such a wonderful run to the top where they lead second-placed Tottenham by 6 points. He would now like to see his side overcome Manchester City to take a massive nine-point lead in the league. But Klopp is wary of the threat that City provides. He has hailed manager their manager Pep Guardiola as the best in the world while also lavishing praise on the City side.

“I love peppiness and that I admire his work, he's outstanding. For me, the globe's best manager and that I do not say that currently as a result of the aforesaid we are the best team in Europe or the world or no matter. It's just a nice thing. He aforesaid it as a result of till then, we had conceded seven goals I think and didn't concede in nine in a row or something like that so he solely same the numbers,” said Klopp in an interview to Sky Sports.

“When you're beating the likes of Man Utd and Tottenham, then you are one of the best teams in the world. For me, Man City is the best, but it's not important. We want to win against them, there is not any doubt this however if we have a tendency to John Drew, it's still fine. He solely spoke concerning the U.S.A. as a result of somebody asked him, he's not fascinated by however sensible we have a tendency to ar. I'm not interested in how good Man City are, I know it so I work now on us so we can make them look not as good.”

Liverpool will travel to the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night with a lot of confidence. They are at the top of the league with 54 points from 20 matches. Manchester City has 47 points from the same number of game, just one point behind second-placed Tottenham. Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are still out due to injury while James Milner’s fitness will be tested before the match. With Fabian Delph suspended, City will have to start with either Danilo or Oleksandr Zinchenko in left-back spot.
